What is recreational therapy?

Recreational therapy is a process of using different activities and processes in aims to enhance and improve quality of life for individuals. The kind of activities planned by the licensed recreational therapist include, but are not limited to, arts and crafts, dancing, music, sports, and nature activities.

  • Therapy session in nature

    Therapy doesn’t just take place indoors or on a couch. Being outdoors with the company of a loved furry friend while talking to your therapist is therapeutic too! Allowing yourself a fun and free time for your path and journey to healing is important.

  • Group therapy goes to the Zoo!

    Group therapy session went out into nature to see animals in the zoo! A fun and interactive experience for everyone. :)

  • Gardening to destress!

    Studies show that gardening can decrease cortisol, the stress hormone. Spending time outside in nature can be a great way to meditate and practice self-care.

  • A walk out with feathery friends

    Meditative walk outside… taking in the sun and seeing some feathery and friendly wildlife!
